About a month ago, the Russian-German educational program at Volkswagen’s factory in Wolfsburg, arranged by IFTI, was succesfully completed. We can now summarize its results.
Participants, the Russian students of 14-19 years, recognized that they had changed as a result of the Program. They came to know the opportunities and demands for the high-skill engineers in the nowaday world, saw the modern car production, got the first-hand experience of being designers, engineers, sheet metal workers and smiths, communicated in English and German, thus getting motivated to learn foreign languages, and got new friends and soul-mates.
After completion of the Program, its participants arranged conferences and workshops in their respective schools to discuss its results. They made impressive presentations about the knowledge and experience they had obtained during this educational trip to Germany. The audience, senior pupils of their schools, became aware of the interesting masterclasses, excursions, impressions and conclusions made by their schoolmates.
This is what some of the participants wrote in their reviews of the Program:
“It was totally cool. Many amazing and fascinating things happened during that week in Germany. The factory, masterclasses, excursions – everything was up to the mark.”
“I loved this educational program. I had been longing to visit the largest automobile factory in the world. It has greatly impressed me.”
“In general, I liked everything. A very interesting and useful experience. It wasn’t my first participation in similar programs but this one was really good.”
“The program was a success. I’ve got a valuable experience and some lessons learned.”
“A really eventful program; sometimes the schedule was so tight that we were short on time. Altogether I liked it all, especially the factory itself.”
